Founded in 1776 when the location was chosen by Juan Bautista de Anza, San Francisco following a Mexican war taken for the United States by Commodore John D Sloatin 1846 and was named San Francisco. Gold being discovered in California in 1848 the population increased from 200 to 2500 in just two years. The city with riches also experienced disaster when in april18 1906, an earthquake all but destroyed the city.
Today, Tourism in San Francisco is the major provider for its’ economy with landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge opened 1937, as well as the shopping experience being a big attraction to many people. While there, there are many services and businesses to accommodate your needs.
